Period features, modern convenience and space
Both before and after a busy day exploring, the cottage affords a truly charming place to relax. The building is very sunny and light and the unusually high ceilings in both the bedroom and the living room give a great feeling of space. In fact many of our guests spend long hours relaxing in and around the cottage.
The cottage is centrally heated and the woodburner, a new Clearview, is a delight in chilly weather.
In the living room you will find a television with dvd and a radio and cd player. The table in the bay faces east and is flooded with morning light, or you may prefer to take an early morning cup of tea onto the French bench on the south facing veranda, which also makes a stunning place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or a nightcap in summer. On a clear night the lack of ambient light and the huge view makes the star- scape breathtaking.
There are many attractive country pubs in the area and on booking we will send you a current list. It is possible to enjoy a really good meal in so many places that we are happy to make recommendations. Also on our links page you will find contact information for interesting places to visit.
In the cottage we provide: Towels, dressing gowns, toiletries, tea, coffee, a jug of milk, sugar, cooking oil, olive oil, wine vinegar, butter and salt and pepper grinders, cleaning materials, washing powder, loo rolls, soap and so on.
