…Rather than drive again to have a meal or cook for yourselves on your arrival you could pre-order a supper for two from our menu below. You would find the table laid ready for you in the cottage, a complimentary bottle of wine waiting to be opened and supper ready at the time of your choosing.
Each meal is freshly prepared using the finest ingredients.
We order our meat and fish from the best local farms and small suppliers and we do require you to book ahead for your meal.
Please note this is for your first night only. We require you to request supper and confirm your choices no later than 1 week ahead of your arrival.
If you would like a particularly easy start to your holiday we can also stock the fridge with the ingredients for your first breakfast so you can cook at your own leisure.

£90 for two
Arrival supper for two in the cottage with wine.
If you opt for this supper option we will leave a complimentary bottle of wine in the cottage; please stipulate red or white wine when you book supper.
Our menu changes with availability and the seasons.
Each dish is for two, so please each choose the same dish in each course
Free range chicken liver and mushroom paté, Melba toast.
A terrine of lemony, garlicky potted spiced prawns, Melba toast.
Smoked mackerel pâté, rich yet light, made with freshly grated horseradish and tiny capers, home made walnut bread.
Creamy celeriac soup croutons.
Main course (Hot)
Slow roast local free-range pork shoulder, scented with garlic and fennel.
Duck breasts, cooked pink with a sauce of creme de cassis ( blackcurrant liqueur).
Pheasant pot roasted with wood mushrooms, flamed with brandy, in a creamy sauce.
Boeuf bourguignon (from a wonderful old French recipe).
All courses above served with potato purée and buttered spinach
Zewelwaï, a lovely creamy onion tart (traditional in Alsace) spinach salad.
Main course (Cold)
A plate of charcuterie, home made pickles, salad, walnut bread.
Vanilla ice cream.
Little brandied chocolate pots and cream.
Individual caramelised apple tarts and clotted cream.
Raspberry frangipane tarts, clotted cream.
Breakfast option for your first morning only. £12 pp
Local free range eggs, bacon, delicious local sausages, homemade loaf, butter, homemade jam and marmalade. Or; Smoked salmon, local free range eggs, homemade loaf, butter, homemade jam and marmalade.(Coffee and tea already provided)
